Mountaineering Profile

* Participated in the Nya Kangri Expedition 2008 organized by Himalayan Club Mimbai. Reached 5700m. Expedition called off due to bad weather and reuturned back from Camp-1.

* Participated in the Pt. 6160m Expedition 2006 organized by Sahyagiri Trekkers. Climbed Virgin Pt. 5500m. mountain in the same area.The main summit attempt was canceled due to bad weather at Base camp(14000ft).

* Participated in the International Summer Rock Meet Organised by the British Mountaineering Council(BMC), UK in the North Wales from 7th - 14th May 2006. Represented India in this meet along with 2 other members of Himalayan Club.

* Participated in the Ramjak Expedition 2003 organized by Sahyagiri Trekkers, max. height gained 5600mt. The summit attempt was canceled due to bad weather. Completed Shingo-La Trek (5090mt.) Aug 2003.

* Completed Liaison Officer course organized by IMF & conducted by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi, & Uttaranchal Jan 2003.

* Completed successfully Basic & Advance Mountaineering course, each of 28 days & Search & Rescue course of 20 days duration from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering.

* Member of Gangotri-I (21980 ft) Expedition held in Sep/Oct 1998 organised by Nature Lovers (Mumbai), maximum height gained 18500 ft. This expedition was unsuccessful due to bad weather.

* Summitter of Mt. Draupadi-Ka-Danda-II (18740 ft) in May 1999.

* Participated in various Himalayan Treks including Beas Kund, Har-Ki-Dun. Headed two treks of Beas Kund as Leader. Conducted various treks in Sahyadri successfully for number of organizations.

* Organized High Altitude Trekking Expedition between Gangotri to Badrinath (100 km) via Kalindi Khal in May 2001. Summitter of Kalindi peak (20100 ft).

* Organized Tapovan Trek (14500 ft) of Gangotri region in Sept 2002 to celebrate International Year Of Mountains 2002.

* Organized Nandadevi East Base Camp Trek (14500 ft) in Sept 2006 to celebrate 70th Anniversary of the first ascent of Nandadevi.

* Organized Kedardome Expedition (6830 m) as Deputy Leader in Sept-Oct 2002 under the banner of Valiant Mountaineering Club, max. height gained 21000 ft.

* Attended Basic Rock Climbing & First Aid course.

* Climbed 26 Pinnacles/routes : Pahine Navra, Anjaneri Navra, Navri, Ghodyacha Kada, Kalakrai, Karnala, Telbaila (Left wall right route, Right wall right route & left route), Sarasgadh West Face Wall, Hadbichi Shendi, Dangya, Ganesh, Kartik, Kakadmaal Lingi, Siddhagadh Lingi, Mahalaxmi, Shenit, Marjori Nok, Irshal, Manik Lingi & Irshal New route(West Face), Dhodap, Sunday 1, Sunday 2, Vanarlingi(left last 70ft) in the Sahyadri ranges.

* Climbed 10 Routes in North Wales UK : Lanberis Pass(3), Slate Quarries(4), Gogarth(1), Holyheld Mountain(1), Tramadog(1) of various grade starting from VS to E15C along with Famous British Climber Alan Hinkes & other Sr. Members of BMC during the International Summer Climbing Meet 2006.

* Rockclimbing.com has appointed as the Area Manager for India.

  
   
 
Martial art Profile

Started Martial Art learning since from August 1991. Became Black Belt in Feb. 1998. Attended various karate competitions with satisfactory results. Undergone 1st Degree Black Belt training & earned authorization to instruct under the banner of Fudoshin Martial Arts School. A committee member of the Fudoshin Martial Art School since 1998 & looking after promotional activities of the school like advertising on the Internet, organize outdoor activities for students and public like trekking, rappelling, etc.
